A Fantastic Day at Stithians Show 2026

A Fantastic Day at Stithians Show 2026

There are some events in Cornwall that feel like more than just a date in the diary, and the Stithians Show is certainly one of them.

The Mather Partnership was proud to exhibit at this year’s show, with Emma, Trafford and Chloe representing the business from our stand throughout the day. From the moment the gates opened until the afternoon drew to a close, it was a fantastic opportunity to meet local people, catch up with past and present clients, and be part of one of Cornwall’s best loved annual events.

Blessed with glorious sunshine, the show welcomed thousands of visitors from across Cornwall and beyond, creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. Whether people came to watch the livestock competitions, browse the trade stands, admire the incredible horticultural displays, enjoy the live entertainment or simply spend a great day out with family and friends, there was something for everyone.

Our stand was busy all day, with Emma, Trafford and Chloe welcoming a steady stream of visitors. It was wonderful to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and chat about everything from the local property market to life in Cornwall.

One of the most popular conversations throughout the day was around our Heads Up Property Alerts, with lots of buyers registering to receive details of newly listed homes before they appear on Rightmove or Zoopla. In today’s market, receiving an early notification of a new property can make all the difference, particularly for homes in sought after locations where interest can build quickly. You can register for our Heads Up Property Alerts here.

As a proudly independent Cornish estate agency, events like Stithians Show are about far more than property. They are about supporting our local communities, building relationships and being part of the places we are privileged to work in every day. Having the opportunity to meet people face to face, answer questions and simply enjoy a conversation is something that can never be replaced.

The team also enjoyed taking time to explore the show itself. From the impressive livestock classes and the South West Counties Sweet Pea Championship to local food, crafts and entertainment, the event continues to celebrate everything that makes Cornwall’s rural communities so special. The hard work of the organisers, volunteers and exhibitors was evident throughout the day and deserves enormous credit.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to say hello. Whether you were thinking of moving, looking for your next home or simply wanted a chat, it was a pleasure meeting you all.

We’d also like to thank the Stithians Agricultural Association and the many volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to organise such a fantastic event year after year. It remains one of the highlights of the Cornish calendar, and we’re already looking forward to returning in 2027.

There are plenty of homes for sale in Truro. But when it comes to brand new homes built to a high specification by a respected Cornish developer, the list becomes much shorter.

The Cornwall property market continued to perform well throughout June, with a healthy number of buyers actively looking to move and hundreds of property sales agreed across the county.

It sounds counterintuitive. Surely it’s safer to put your property on the market at a higher price and reduce it later if you need to? It’s one of the most common assumptions sellers make.

With Cornwall enjoying some beautiful summer weather, the local property market has been heating up too.
