Success at the Royal Cornwall Show

Success at the Royal Cornwall Show

The Royal Cornwall Show is one of the highlights of the Cornish calendar.

For many visitors, it is a great day out. For those involved in farming and livestock, however, it represents months of preparation, early mornings, careful breeding programmes and countless hours of hard work behind the scenes.

This year, two members of The Mather Partnership team had particular reason to celebrate.

Trafford’s Success in the Show Ring

Trafford Watters enjoyed an outstanding Royal Cornwall Show with his sheep, achieving:

🏆 Reserve Breed Champion
🏆 Reserve Champion Female
🥇 1st Shearling Ewe

These awards are a significant achievement at one of the country’s most respected agricultural shows and reflect the dedication, knowledge and attention to detail required to compete at this level.

Tom’s Award Winning Poultry

Not to be outdone, Tom Reed also enjoyed a successful show, with his poultry receiving recognition from the judges.

Breeding and showing poultry is a specialist pursuit that requires patience, commitment and a genuine passion for the livestock being exhibited. Tom’s success was a well-deserved reward for the time and effort he invests throughout the year.

More Than Estate Agents

Many people know Trafford and Tom through their work helping buyers and sellers across Cornwall, but outside of the office both have strong connections to the rural community and a genuine passion for agriculture.

Their success at the Royal Cornwall Show is a reminder that some of the skills that make people successful in farming and livestock breeding are often the same qualities that help them succeed in business: dedication, consistency, attention to detail and a willingness to put in the hard work when nobody is watching.

Congratulations

Everyone at The Mather Partnership would like to congratulate both Trafford and Tom on their achievements.

We are incredibly proud to have such talented individuals within our team and delighted to see their hard work recognised on one of Cornwall’s biggest stages.

There’s something about living by the sea that never loses its appeal.

With Cornwall enjoying some beautiful summer weather, the local property market has been heating up too.

There are plenty of homes for sale in Truro. But when it comes to brand new homes built to a high specification by a respected Cornish developer, the list becomes much shorter.

It sounds counterintuitive. Surely it’s safer to put your property on the market at a higher price and reduce it later if you need to? It’s one of the most common assumptions sellers make.
